Gangnam pays more for the same qualifications, but as far as I can tell it does not offer the same benefits. If you renew with SMOE, they offer an extra couple of weeks vacation and a ticket home. I got a month off in February to go home, but people in Gangnam get nothing but a pay raise to renew.

SMOE can be hit or miss in terms of location, but at least with Gangnam you're pretty much guaranteed higher level students and a good location in Seoul. Also, as far as I've seen, Gangnam accommodation is very good.

SMOE can put you into Gangnam-gu. Needless to say, Gangnam-gu is pretty big and they won't stick you near Gnagnam station or anywhere close to that vicinity. You'll probably get placed way down in the southern tip of Gangnam-gu.

A good location as in a good school? Or a good location as in Gangnam, because I would hate living in that area as far a scenery, prices and traffic is concerned.
