Recently the International Beer Competition was held in Australia.
http://www.beerawards.com
Entries were received from around the world, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Romania.. too many countries to mention.
No entries from Korea.
I wonder why?
Maybe, just maybe, it might have something to do with reviews such as these:
"Pale yellow colour, no head. Aroma is weak cooked rice, almost non-existant. Flavour is rice and grain. An extremely boring product.... I don't even know what to say more. "

Was in Australia a few years ago. In Australia there is a fantastic array of beer, walk into the Korean mini mart, and there's Hite. Why?
It's like going into a bar in Pataya that's full of babes, and one pig, and taking the pig home. Duh!
Anyway one of the best beers was from New Zealand. |

Isn't the real point to forget what tastes good to YOU...and what you have been told tastes good to you, and vote for the label from your own country? |

I've seen many buy soju in the US, where it's $15/bottle. |

My vote would be for Tiger Beer from Singapore, which was available at some rare( but oh so fine ) places in the ROK, at least when I left 2 1/2 years ago. I regret that I cannot buy it in Canada, where our beers are no slouches. |
