Hello everybody.

My current GEPIK p.s. job ends May 13th (so many of my posts start with that). I want my next job to start right after this one ends.

My Mum in England has very recently sent to me my original degree, and 2 sealed University transcripts.

I have plenty of letters of recommendation. I will apparently need a letter from my school, but discussion with a GEPIK official told me if there are problems with that e.g. the school is awkward, there are ways around it, and that's not something to worry about. I have at least 2 photos, copies of my passport, resume/cv and the Police in England notified my family in England, the CRC should arrive at my family address in England, at the very latest by April 7th.

An online company which deals directly with the FCO in London, can get an apostille done and sent to me in Korea by TNT in just 2 days, for a fee of course. I'm willing to pay for it.

That's the background to the following scenario. I am thinking about changing schools for my next contract. I've agreed to renew at my current school, but will leave if something better comes up.

Dain Bae at GEPIK told me I must meet her in person before she processes my application. She also explained if I had most of the documents ready she could begin to process the application anyway.

So, I raised the issue with her of my school not allowing me to go and see her, if they knew I was looking for another job. I don't want to take a sick day to do this, because I haven't missed one day off work in 10 months.

I just feel I don't want to lie but to see Dain Bae I would have to take some time off work to see her in person, which she said she would need to do, before putting my application through.

In the meantime, if any recruiter contacts me with a definite offer I will also consider that, but I feel going through GEPIK is more reliable. With recruiters, I wouldn't need to miss work.

One day is not a big deal and I would do it if I have to.

What's your advice, should I miss a day of work to see Ms Bae? I want to teach older kids, because elementary kids are becoming a bit tiresome.

Dain Bae also told me she will be gone from mid April to late April on a business trip. She said she could hold a job for me until the end of April, at the latest, if I wanted to start work on May 14th.

My concern is, will my documents arrive in time for me to see her, just before mid-April begins. What do you think posters?

Should I wait for a recruiter, who may or may not definitely find me a job, or should I take a day off work and start the ball rolling, knowing I will definitely get a job right after this one ends?
