So I find this country humid enough already, so I'm thinking there is another reason that people use humidifiers in their apts. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the more humid the air is the more of a chance any sort of particles in the air will get heavier and fall to the floor?

I use mine in the winter as it can get quite dry. Now, I have packed mine and stored it under my bed.

I put mine away a month ago.

Got the air purifier running now. Thanks for the advice from BExpander for the Hansil brand.

Humidity in our apartment now is about 30-35%.
At the beginning of the month is was 25%.

Didn't get a humidifier because you have to keep them quite clean to avoid bacteria.
Bought a Wania air washer instead, 250K on auction.co.kr . Cleans the air and adds moisture to it, putting humidity to over 40%. Also has a cooling effect which will be good in the summer.
