A simple list of things to do to make living and working in Korea better for those who hate everything korean and yet somehow choose to stay.

1) Before coming buy a camrecorder and walk around your home city, making scenery tapes dowtown and in places you are familiar with.

2) Go to an electronics store and order a portable viewing screen that can be fitted on your head so a to face you. Also buy a pair of insulated headphones that block out all outside sounds. Then buy a piece of opaque cloth to wrap around your head thereby creating a self contained environment.

3) If you have the means, "import" people from your neighborhood back home and have them live and walk around your neighborhood in Korea. You could also make it interesting for them by providing a reward system based on the times they greet you when they pass you on the street.

4) Start digging a tunnel that can take you from your appartment to your work and then to your favorite western hang outs. This might be time consuming but think of the benefits! No need to interact with any "locals".

5) If you have to walk outside bring your portable contained environment and play your movies from home, this will provide you with the illusion you are in fact home. You might bump into people and risk injury from cars but at least you won't have to deal with "locals".

Those are simple and easy steps to make your life here more bearable until you return to the paradise that is your home country or travel on to another destination where mind you this equipment might come in handy!

Completely frivolous and aching for a flame war!

I thought an intelligent guy like you could offer constructive advice!!

I was proved wrong once again! Rolling Eyes

someone's got a bit too much time on his hands and/or run into an a-hole foreigner a few too many times.

at least a couple of people saw this post of mine for what it was..a joke..
Laughing
To take it seriously is not a good idea, not at all Wink

Hopefully it gave some a laugh.
As for time on my hands, well I have a normal amount of that, I think no more or no less than your average working joe who is also married.

Matko!

Nice to see your back..missed ya little fella. Exclamation
But by know you should know better then to expect "constructive" advice from me. Laughing

Finally, *checks his head*...nope no bump that I can detect, no bruised either and I soft landed in here so it could not have been a bump sound either.
Oh well, rudyflower, you must have had some hidden meaning to your post that my poor intellectual ability failed to detect, it happens, things short out in here from time to time. Very Happy

Good post Homer. Even though it was a joke, it seems like it still riled up some people. Hmm? Could it be those people the post applies to?
