Man I'm bored lately on the weekends. My and my GF don't party (ie don't go downtown) we enjoy being active and doing things during the day but we're running out of things to do... We've been up Apsan, seen a few temples.... Been to Woobang Towerland yadda yadda...
What do you guys do for fun? Is there any badminton around the sanging-dong area?? I would like to play some badminton! |

Nope, not played in about a year - I'm a soccer player. But I enjoy the exercise and doing something different. |

Ah, ok. Seongseo is by Shindangdong/Dalseo-gu. West Daegu. Badminton at my uni. I only play badminton for fun though, so if you're looking for something a bit more competitive, you might need someone else. |

to bad so sad...a sunday softball league starts up this weekend at Duyru Park. Well if you want to come by and hang out and watch your obviously welcome....you can get your names put on the waiting list in case anyone gets injured or decides to quit.
Come out on Sunday at 12:30 for the first of three games. Heck if you want to volunteer umpiring I dont see why that wouldn't be a problem.
Its across from the U-Bong Tower land, the amusement park. Take Line 2, and get off at Duyru.
Cheers

why not get out of Daegu on the weekends and travel a bit. within an hour or less you can reach Pohang (one of my favorite places to go), Ulsan, Busan, Gyeongju, Masan. all of those places can be reached very cheap (10,000 won or less) by bus (or train, but strangley bus is generally faster) and like i said in an hour or less. in Pohang there is a really cool temple called "BogyeongSa" that is at the base of a large hiking trail that goes along a river with 12 major waterfalls. also, the beach there which is not too far off with the warm weather coming. i go fishing over there as well. with spring time coming up there is the cherry blossom festival in Cheongdo, that goes on for a few weeks. korean bull fighting starts in April in Miryang, and a few other places. also in the summer time there is a lot more outdoor planned activities that the koreans put together, like the famous mud festival in Boryoung, the Pentaport Rock Festival, Busan Rock Festival. have you been over to Palgongsan in Daegu, theyve got Gatbawi rock and endless temples and hiking over there. you can also access any of the very southern korean cities by bus very easily. all very cool places to check out. |

I agree. The best thing to do in Daegu was... well... explore outside of it. Go climb every mountain, see Gatbawi, etc. etc. Take the 1 hour trip to Busan. So much to do in Daegu, and it doesn't hurt to go downtown once in a while either.
You can always just drink a coke, ya know? |
