These sites have decent places with decent rents but I got to wonder if it's legit... anyone used either of these sites recently to find a place?

| Some of those places look scary, with their little one burners in the kitchen. I have an actual range with four burners and yes, a real oven underneath. I have a feeling I have the people who lived here before me to thank for that though. I'd bet money the school didn't buy it. Some of those places looked too tiny...like you could sit on the bed and touch the sofa or chairs. Very tiny dollhouse kitchens, too. |

If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Most Korean realtor websites are created with bait and switch in mind.
If you are here, your best bet is to got to the neighborhood you want to live in, and get a realtor to show you places. |

| The real estate sites are just like ESL recruiter sites. They describe all the excellent things they have to offer, then when you call them...oh sorry that one is no longer available. Instead we have this piece of shi...... From my experience house hunting with my girlfriend: real estate agents = ESL recruiters |

A real estate agent called me back from that second site.
I asked to see a specific two room place that looked alright on there.
He told me straight up the pictures are different from what is being offered.
Then he went straight to asking me what kind of place I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend.
I politely said I wasn't interested and ended the conversation. |

| A couple of months ago my wife and I were looking for an apartment to rent. In the city where I live many new apartment complexes have been built. We went through a real estate agent which who told us of this new apartment with no debt. (most new apartments have 40 or 50 million or higher key money debt on them) When we met her the next day, she told us that apartment was gone. However, she had another apartment to show us, which had 20 million key money debt. While we were in the apartment looking around, she phoned the owner. After talking to the owner she told us the debt was actually 30 million. then 5 minutes later she was on the phone again and once she was off the debt was suddenly 40 million. Literally the debt had doubled in 10 minutes. You can't trust these people! |
