I have only been here since Thursday but am finding some things to definitely enjoy.

tops on the list so far for me would be going out to eat delicious food in restaurants for 3-5 dollars (im coming from san francisco where $12 a meal is a bargain), being able to drink on public streets and transportation, and an excellent subway system.

i havent really been able to explore outside of my neighborhood (seoungbuk) yet outside of one night at the clubs street area which was alright.

what do you all enjoy about korea?

I don't love living in Korea, I like living in Korea. I would say I liked Korea more during my first few months over here, but after 2+ years my just like it. I try to find good things about the place, the people. I had a lady give me a free Korean music tape out of nowhere and smile at me. Being in Korea, however, has given me more of an appreciation for the things I take for granted at home, having equal rights, being able to change jobs easily, get in my car and just drive. Korea has helped give me more of an appreciation of myself and adapting to another new country and trying to see things from a different perspective.

I appreciate this thread... It's a positive one. I appreciate all the Koreans who have been good to me and many have been....

Living in Korea

Good:
-good food
-nice location for vacationing in other Asian countries
-good-looking women
-good pay/hours

Bad:
-Koreans are generally very close-minded
-Koreans are generally rude (knowingly)
-Korea is backwards in many ways

I love living here too, mostly. But some days are better than others.

I love living. This particular location has good days and a few bad days, IMO.

I also love living here! I actually love the time zone, I can get up early and listen to ice hockey in the morning from NA. Also on the weekends I don't have to stay up late to follow rugby from Aus or NZ.
