HOW TO HANDLE AN IRRITATING SEATMATE ON AN AIRPLANE
If you are sitting next to someone who irritates you follow these instructions:
1. Quietly and calmly open up your laptop case.
2. Remove your laptop.
3. Start up
4. Make sure the guy who is annoying you, can see the screen.
5. Close your eyes, tilt your head up to the sky & move your lips as if praying
6. Then hit this link |

In a body bag -- especially if your annoying seatmate is an air marshall. |

Eat chili before flight, then hand out the "heavy air". |

I've done a fair amount of flying and never really had an annoying seatmate...
Oh yeah: except for one woman who was so huge she was taking up half my seat with her girth. That was nasty.
How do I deal with that? |

Just ask her if she could kindly show you her ticket. Then, when she shows it to you, ask her why she's taking up part of your seat. Don't wait for a response, just ask the flight attendant if you can get an upgrade to business class. I got bumped up like that twice. |

Sweet. I think some airlines charge such passengers for two seats now. I once sat next to a guy who was nearly seven feet tall. He sat in the middle seat, too. Totally unfomfortable the entire flight.
I looked at him and asked "what are you, like seven feet tall?" And he said "yeah, I'm seven feet tall." |

You are right, many people are being charged for 2 tickets.
If you are uncomfortable, ask the flight attendant if you can move (even if this is rude to the fat person, you can still say "we both need more room.") If you aren't moved, complain, in person if possible, or through an email or letter. Be very angry and you may get a free or discounted flight later on. |

And they should rightfully be charged for two tickets. The cost of flying has gone up along with oil - baggage allowance has gone down to reduce weight of the flight. If a person weighing twice as much as a normal weight doesn't have to buy two tickets there is something wrong with the world. |

I think plane seats have some sort of smell absorber. I've let some pretty "heavy air" fly on an airplane but mysteriously the smell doesn't spread.... I mean I put in a great effort and let some powerful stuff fly and no one else can appreciate it. |
