My buddy is experiencing a fairly unique problem. He has been working at the same Wonderland for three years(God only knows how), and is fed up with the "extra" volunteer work given to him recenlty. He refused to do some meaningless assignments which put the management in an uproar. Now, he is fed up and ready to leave.
The only problem is that his Visa runs out in in December, but his contract does not run out untill feburary. He is prepared to face the financial repercussions of no plane ticket and bonus, but he asked me to find out about coming back on a tourist visa. Is it possible or will he face repercussions from immigration?

I'm not exactly sure what the right answer is, however I'll offer my opinion. If his visa is set to expire in December then as far as I know, he can leave, find another job and get a new E-2 without worrying about any hassle from immigration about him still having an E-2 with another hagwon.

Maybe someone else on the board has already asked this question. Have you tried the search function? Also, there are some links located on the board, like a link to the immigration site. You could address the question directly to them.

Sorry if it's not very much help, but you should be able to find what you are looking for on this site or the immigration site.

Cheers

Thanks PB That is pretty much what I thought, but We were just wondering what would happen if the Hogwon wanted to get dirty. I did some reading at Hogwon.com but I prefer the lazy route and have someone else do the reasearch. Hey, wait a miniute, I'm doing his research Wink
