I'm wanting advice or info on these two locations. I've only spent 3 days in Bangkok so don't know Thailand at all. There are 2 kitesurfing schools-Phuket and Koh Samui and I'm trying to decide which one to go to. Any info or thoughts on these areas from people who have travelled there would be great. Thanks.

As far as Phuket goes, I think it really depends on the time of year... why don't you try contacting the schools or checking out a kite-surfing msg board? Anyway, that sport looks uber-cool, good luck with it.
