Hello everyone! While I have been peeping on many posts and trying to make my decision on a school, I have finally signed with a school in the Mokdong area. Leave in about a month. I'm sure there are people on this board moving there or currently living there. Just trying to make a few connections before my big adventure.

Also, post where there is a Coffee Bean or Starbucks around there-I was there for a week in January walking all over the place and all I could find was Dunkin and choke and Mcdonald's

Mokdong is not a small place and, naturally, many expatriates live in that area of Seoul.

Second, the area between Mokdong Station, Exit Number 7 and Shinseongnegori Station was quite decent for newcomers to the R.O.K. back in 2000.

Its location gives the you the advantage of being able to visit any of the more famous locales in town quickly by bus, taxi, or subway.

What Roch said...I live in Sinjeongnegorie, and have lived in the area since 2001 off and on...the area is friendly overall, some decent restaurants (Korean), bars, shopping, markets, and so forth all around...
