|
|
I'd like to do this as cheaply as possible, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any little capsule hotels or something similar near the ferry station in Fukuoka.
Or, is it possible to run over to Fukuoka and come back in one day? I'd be leaving Seoul around... 10:30-11 AM on the KTX and I just need to get a tourist visa, so no run to the embassy.
Thanks in advance everyone! |

you can do it in one day BUT you have to have a ferry reservation and I'm pretty certain they only leave in the mornings - returning in the afternoon - and taking time to go thru processing, you have to be on an early one and then allow yourself maybe 2 hours interval time before catching the return boat.
if you have to take a train to Pusan it's very difficult to do it w/o spending the previous night there - in fact I've always had to spend the night.
I've done the round trip in one day 2x before, tho, is not too hard. but the boat rarely has food on it so pack a lunch or some munchies. when you arrive, there's not much to be had in the terminal but there is a mart across the street - just ask for directions.
Kangsan Travel can help you with ferry reservations - they often have tkts available at times the Ferry people will tell you they are all booked.
good luck. |

I say just go to Busan the night before, get a cheap love motel in Nampo Dong, then head over on the early ferry. |

Impossible...
last ferry from busan and Fukuoka leaves at 3..
Just say you get to Busan and your ferry leaves at 3, takes 3 hours to get there and you arrive at 6.....this means you have to wait until the next morning.
Why would you bother doing it like this anyway????
Either pay for a night in busan or Fukuoka....
If you do a one day run in Fukuoka you would get out of the ferry terminal at 11:30 at the earliest and have to be back by 2 at the latest giving you a grand totla of 2.5 hours in Japan...waste of time and money. |
