Last year, I was scheduled to teach parents. It lasted a couple of weeks, and then it was cancelled.

From probably next week, I will teach parents again. Like last year, it is for a total of 80 minutes a week. 6 people have signed up for it.

I've been told I have to draw up a plan of what I'll cover for 16 weeks.

I could make it really boring, which would help those parents who are already very busy, to realize it's a waste of time, and stop attending.

Or I could assume the impossible i.e. they will attend all 16 weeks and I'll make some more money.

What would you advise I teach, keep it simple maybe, 5th and 6th grade level?

I'll done these kinds of things before. There are two kinds of parents who attend. Some with a functional level of English. Others cannot communicate in English. I don't regard these things as real teaching its actually much more public relations.

I would start by having them write a self introduction one page. This will give you a good indication of their level. It's also a good chance to kill time. I would also start with a ppt show of you're homelife.

I would also write a lot of wh questions and have them interview each other.
