What type of tv will I need to buy to enable me to use my UK 360 in Korea? Will I have to fork out for a HDTV or are there other options. What do you recommend and roughly how much would I have to fork out? |

yeah, thats why I was asking if I needed a HDTV as that would accept both PAL and NTSC. I know PAL will not work on just a bog standard tv.
I have no idea what video cable I have, whatever came in the box, I have the newer HDMI xbox, but currently connect it up to my old tv with a scart lead. |

well the bigger problem you will run into is the region coding for the games. look here to see the compatibility:
http://forum.xbox-sky.com/xbox360_regional_compatibility_guide/
from xbox faq:
"Just like current generation consoles, a console designed for North America (NTSC) wont work on Europe (PAL) for the simple reason that games are region locked. So if you get an US Xbox 360, youll have to purchase NTSC games because those titles sold in Europe wont work on your North American Xbox 360. "
you can use a PAL to NTSC converter to play the games you already own or buy the VGA xbox 360 video cable to play on a VGA supported monitor or tv.

I would say the biggest problem you have is compatibility of new games bought here in Korea ( unless if they are region free ). |

Im pretty sure SCART is a European standard and as such, your Korean TV won't have one. |

Playing a PAL signal to an NTSC only TV will result in black and white. However, many modern TV's will recognize and convert PAL or NTSC. |
