On their form it states:
5. Two Letters of References* □
-Personal Reference(s) on your character with referees full contact information.
-Professional Reference(s) describing work performance and duration of FULL-TIME employment, with full contact information of the referee/employer
* For Category 1 and 2-D applicants, this professional letter(s) of reference from full-time teaching employment must be submitted.
Does this mean if you choose to submit a professional reference it must be from your last school or does it mean you have to submit a letter from your last school anyway?!!
Alternatively, can you just submit 2 personal references instead?
Thank you. |

One should be from your previous employer/school.
If you worked for a Gepik school, there is a standard letter which is printed and stamped ny the principal. I'm sure other schools will have a similar thing to print. |

I've found out from ttompaz this letter is something they have to provide by law. GEPIK have offered me another job and told me it's not something to worry about, if for whatever reason I didn't have one.
By current school agreed to renew my contract, but I think my co-teacher would be happy to see me go anyway, the feeling is mutual.
On the form it says you can use 2 personal references. If I do change schools I don't want any delays, so if my school took ages giving me a letter, I would use 2 letters of personal reference, and give the details of my school on the application instead. This way GEPIK would contact them if required.
Fawked my eye! |

The one I got was called "원어민보조교사 이적 동의서", with the wee red stamps on it.
Co-teachers/handlers will have a book showing your contract details, and there will be all the standard letters required at the back of this book.
Some are in Korean, some are in English and I believe you can get one which has both. |
