|

This is my first year in a public school. I'm teaching elementary kids whose ability in general is low. I can safely say that as last year I taught in a hagwon and whilst there I could have conversations with 7 year olds.
Point being, I'm new to teaching and even though I'm getting better, I've been told to produce a plan for summer school to teach these low level kids.
There are no guidelines at all, so what to do?! I have to make them speak, but I guess that will have to be all new words as they don't want me teaching classroom topics or vocab, but these kids struggle putting one sentence together.
Any ideas to tackle this nightmarish situation? any websites or easy games?
What is worse is that I won't have my co-worker in the room so it will be like a giant hagwon with 30 kids to deal with,

Here's my resource folder for GEPIK camps; it's only got my winter camp in there for now, but I will be retooling last year's summer camp into the winter camp format some time in the near future.
Here's another resource page for GEPIK camps.
A great site for easy science projects: PBS ZOOM |
