| Is it possible to make train reservations in advance? I'd like to go to Damyang from Ulsan that weekend. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Yes you can make reservations in advance... I recommend it.
I recently booked tickets to Busan for the May 5th weekend. There doesn't seem to be a way to book tickets online (in english) so unless you have a friend to help, just go to the station and book the tickets. Fortunatly, you can see the timetable online and make your plans prior to booking at the station.

| Thanks for your help. Does the train go to Damyang? I can't find it from Ulsan. Also, can you make bus reservations in advance as well? Thanks so much! |

After checking, there seem to be two trains a day which go from Ulsan to daNyang (is it the same place? if not...then you are out of luck).
I don't know about booking bus tickets in advance...i've never done it, and never had problems... |

I've been to Damyang. It's a pretty small place. I would be surprised if there's a train station. You might need to go to Gwangju and bus it the rest of the way. The Damyang Resort's a terrific oncheon, and the Bamboo Museum is worth a look. Good food down there too.
I should add that I was with a Korean friend who had a car, so I'm afraid I can't actually help with the transportation logistics. |

I looked again...Damyang is in Jeolla, while Danyang is Chungcheon.
Damyang is close to Gwangju, but according to the website there aren't any trains from Ulsan to Gwangju... you will probably have to take a bus to Gwangju and then transfer.
Good luck~~ |
