Hey I was wondering what to expect to pay for a full/queen sized bed in Korea? I searched the forums and the post that I see links to furniture sites show beds from 150k-400k won. Are these the real prices of decent beds? is the mattress of ok quality? I remeber spending around $1k in the US on my queen bed for a good quality mattress, so im curious about beds priced at $150-$400 range in Korea. Thanks.

Where about do you live? I bought my queen for 380,000 won at a furniture store in Hagye. I also bought memory foam from costco. It's super comfy.

rehashing this old thread cuz i got the same question. looking for a full/.queen size, but not sure what price constitutes a decent quality bed + frame. desparately in need of a good bed, as my old one is.. well old.

how much should i expect to pay? what are the decent brands and deals out there?

Is the memory foam at Costco just something you put on top of your bed or is it a whole mattress?

How much was it?

I got a King Koil mattress + ugly laminate headboard from an ACE Bed for around $600.

I was sleeping on one of those stone beds before. I need a different kind of support for my back, but the padded headboard came in handy.

Check out G-Market. I just got a decent queens size bed for 160 with delivery. All in all it's not too bad and fairly comfortable. No frame included. Na-i-ce.

Try busybeed.co.kr.

It's an importer of Ikea furniture. They sell on Gmarket and other sites, but it's cheaper here. We've ordered furniture from them. I would suggest you get your mattress from them if you do because I'm guessing Ikea beds aren't the same size as many beds made in Korea.

Me too! 1.2K ...

There must be several Simmons stores around. We went to the one in the Ahyeon furniture market. There are other bed stores there if you want to shop around and compare.

It is just a foam you put on top of the bed. I think when I bought it 5 years ago, I spent 120,000 won. If memory serves, the price has gone up though. I have a second bed that we put in the nursery, and instead of getting memory foam, we put sound proofing eggshells on the mattress. It is just as comfy. What size is you bed? I can see if we have any left over from our sound studio, and have it sent your way. Or, I can ask the accountant where he bought it and how much. I will update you through our mutual friend/colleague if this interests you.

Hope all is well pkang, let's do dinner sometime soon. Let me know when you are in my neighborhood.

aren't you supposed to test the mattress out yourself? can't really do that online. what's a good mattress to get? memory foam is way too expensive, but i dunno the difference between the other kinds really. which ones are comfortable yet supportive?

I was headed for a Simmons store, but it had closed long ago, leaving its signs up. Worked my way down the street to the ACE store.

I had had the same mattress in the US and I knew it was exactly what I wanted.
