Yes, yes, yes, I know there are multiple threads. But I was searching and they're 48 pages long, full of unmarked links, and don't seem to give any useful information other than slandering a government lawyer.
Anyways, if someone could simple answer my questions on here or by PM, I'd really appreciate it.
1. Is a local criminal check (Canada) accepted? Does it need to be apostiled or otherwise stamped?
2. The self health declaration...is it still going? If so, is there a specific form? Where can one find that form? |

Yes, but there isn't a specific form. When you go to the hospital for your test explain to them what tests you need to have done i.e. TB and HIV. |

There is a specific form for the "self health declaration". I think that I have seen it on the immigration website. I got mine from my recruiter but I expect someone can give the link to it on the immigration website.
The self medical check form is the first part of the process and that is included as part of the visa application process. There is no specific form that needs to be completed in the second part of the process which is when you go to the hospital for the actual health check before you can get your ARC

I've been told that you can get the criminal background check done through the RCMP and get it notarized by the Korean consulate.
icicle is right about the self-health assessment |

VSS checks can be done at your local major police station (unless you live in the boonies, where the RCMP rule the land, lol...)
You then have to get it notarized, and THEN take it to the Korean consulate to get it stamped by them...
A self-health assessment form can be found at http://www.asknow.ca/visa.aspx
(decent video explaining the process, as well as check lists for forms you need... covers both Canadain and non-Canadain citizens) |
