Anyone else excited? So many questions to answer. Will Catherine Tate be any good? Will Russell T Davies episodes be the worst as usual? Will the Jock doc survive to see another series? Will Rose and Martha return, fall in love and let us share the magic? Sorry, getting carried away. |

I don't see the point of a new Doctor Who. If you saw the other episodes you already know who he is. It's the same thing with the Where's Wally books. You buy one of those books and you feel on top of the world for a week but then the feeling of exaltation wears off and you buy another book...but you're so used to the fix that you need a whole schoolbag just to get the same hit.
Where's Wally? He's in the book. |

Was there another episode between the Christmas special and the red-head coming back?!?
What happened with the whole Titanic bit?

The Titanic bit was the Christmas special. Saw the new one, kinda disturbing but the little aliens were kinda of cute. Might show it in class 'Arghhh!!...eww cute..ur'.
They had the love story the unrequited love story now it's something a bit more platonic(she has a face like a mule anyway). I think Russell T.Davis is aware of steering away from another Bonnie Langford. |

I just started watching it. I got to the part where the fat chick turns into Pillsbury dough boys. Doesn't quite catch me. I'll try to finish. |

I finished it. It'll take more than one episode to know for sure, but I saw a considerable improvement already. I like when characters are flawed. She wasn't as perfect as Martha, and it was better. Plus I liked the overall tone of the episode. It was quite a surprise to see who was there at the end (didn't think they'd quite get to that in the first episode). |

You know, I wasn't looking forward to that, but I think they handled it well enough that I'm intrigued by how that subplot is going to play out.
I told my Brit coworker that Catherine Tate was the new companion, and she was like, "What? Are you kidding me?" |

Ugh... I guess after watching that Doctor-meet-old-Doctor mini-sode, I forgot about the actual Christmas special...
First episode was okay.. I didn't hate it... not a fan of this Tate woman though.. not just her apprerance annoys me, but her character is going to be nothing but annoying methinks... |

I think she could make an excellent foil for the Doctor. |

God, I hope so. I'm getting tired of every woman he meets humping his leg like a dog. |

I think the girl Tate was an inspired choice. She came on a bit strong in the Xmas special (the one before the Kylie abomination) but tshe's toned it down a bit. She's a great actress with genuine personality, two things where Freema Agyeman fell a little short, imo. Obviously, not as good-looking but two out of three aint bad. |
