Hi,
Where can I buy tapioca pearls in Seoul? I would love to be able to make tapioca pudding!
Many thanks. |

Grossly overpriced, incredible inflated, rip off priced Tapioca can be found at the middle eastern food stores in Itaewon near the mosque.
Might have something to do with the government putting taxes of 200-500% on imported grain products to protect useless and inept Korean farmers who don't even grow Tapioca! |

Tapioca is not a grain. It is made from a root. A tropical root, I believe.
Tapioca starch is used in Chinese cooking instead of corn starch. I was surprised that they don't even have tapioca starch here.
