I was taxing a taxi in Gangnam yesterday to get my phone repaired (it won't even turn on), when my taxi hit another car and jolted everything around a bit.

I didn't notice that my phone (the one I was going to get repaired) and flung out somewhere, possibly under the seat. Anyway, I got out of the taxi and didn't notice that it was gone until he was too far away. I actually ran about 10 minutes just to see if I could find him at a traffic light, but he was long gone.

Is there any place where taxi drivers would leave lost things in their cars?

Since it's a phone, it would've been easy enough to call someone in my address book, but since it's dead and needs repairs, it's just a brick at the moment. However, I really need info that's on it.

Any ideas? Sad

WHen he hit the other car do you think there was enough damage (even minimal) that he would have had to file a report, or at least mention it to his company? I was just thinking that maybe they would have had to keep a record for insurance purposes. :-/

sorry to hear that you lost your phone, but it may be gone for good. if the taxi driver finds it, he'll toss it, keep it, or give it away. there's [probably] no way he'll call any of your contacts to help return your phone. BUT, on a more positive note, he could be like one of the drivers i've encountered: i lost my wallet in a taxi one day after the cab was jostled in a similar situation to your own. a week later my wallet arrived at my school with everything, including cash, intact. hopefully you get the latter. otherwise, you've lost your important information. Confused

Perhaps it seems that fate is trying to keep you away from that phone.

I'd think if he intended to return the phone he'd call a contact. Otherwise it could have fallen someplace like under the seat and he might not see it for some time to come.
