I've been checking out SMOE and their start date for August is the 25th. Are they flexible with the date? Would it be possible to start in September instead? Anyone know? Thanks! |

Recruiters and SMOE will tell you "no." But each year, teachers do start after the start date. It depends on how much they want you. Apply, make get them to accept you, then make a later date the deal maker. Get the date in writing and there you go. |

They will tell you that you MUST go to orientation. Now the orientation session is changing a lot after May 2008, but in the past many people had problems with visas or SMOE simply hired them very very late in the season, so they missed orientation and SMOE still hired them. |

Don't trust anything SMOE tells you. they will say all teachers must start in August and there are no exceptions. That is NOT true. Do what BibbityBop said. You don't have to wait until August. |
