Its used in a lot of American style Chinese and Thai food.
In the food its usually about 4cm long, flat and rectangular. Almost looks like a reed.
I thought it was bamboo shoots, but its not. The color is light, almost a yellowing. |

i back the lemongrass assessment.
is it so fibrous that it's pretty much inedible? does it taste citrus-y? then yeah, lemongrass. don't eat it. i usually chew it though. |
