I am planning on getting married in October of this year and we are looking at different venues for the wedding.

I am wondering if anyone knows of a nice place in Eastern Seoul to hold a wedding that won't break the bank.

I would like to avoid the whole cookie-cutter wedding deal if possible.

Any helpful advice would be much appreciated.

thanks.

I know you mentioned east Seoul - I was at a wedding in north east Seoul at a hotel whose name escapes me now (Green something - I think)
It overlooks Bukhansan, very nice.

I was at a wedding recently in Naksongdae park (just south of the river - again, lovely place.

Hyundae Hotel Gangneung-Gangwon-do -Wedding Plazza is outdoors over looking the east sea. I believe it is fairly cheap as well, as my friend had to get married 'in a hurry' and so they went there. Very nice. I can send you pics on facebook.

If we had a wedding (my husband and I eloped), I would have wanted it to be at the W Hotel. We went there a couple of weeks ago to spend the weekend, and I freaking LOVE it.

I had mine at Naksongdae, it's fairly cheap and they do the whole traditional thing with robes, sedan chairs, the whole nine yard. Very cool.

Thanks for the tips.

I would like to avoid wearing the robes if possible, but I'll mention Naksongdae to my girlfriend.

The W hotel is a little out of my price range.

Any other suggestions?

Thailand. Getting there ain't cheap, but the wedding would be. And you can have the honeymoon right there.
