So, I'm planning on visiting the UK sometime in August.
I did a search an airfare search using some search engines as well as checking many well-known carrier's websites.
Well, the results seem to show that Aeroflot are by far the cheapest. I'm not one to nickel and dime, but they are offering return airfare for around $1000, while no one else will do it for under $1400.
So, does anyone have any experience with them...is it a case of "you get what you pay for" and there are some hidden surprises, or is it just good value? |

Comrade,
Aeroflot is safer today than it ever has been.
They use the IL96 on the Seoul-Moscow service (which is a Russian built plane). It is perfectly fine, but BYO inflight entertainment. |

I flew aeroflot when I came out here. Stopping in Moscow. Possibly the worst build up to and after flying experience ever. The journey was alright, the hostesses beautiful.
When Aeroflot put 20kg maximum on your luggage they mean 20kg for these cheap flights. Every other and I mean every other carrier that flies here is 30kg. I was charged 60 pounds (120 dollars) excess. I had to leave a fair bit of stuff at Heathrow as well. When I used Air China at Christmas it said 20kg on my ticket but when I phoned them to check they said it's always 30kgs for Asian flights. Therefore Aeroflot are stingy b*stards. |

I wouldn't mind trying Aeroflot at some point. They've made remarkable improvements in safety and quality, from everything I've read. On the other hand, transiting through SVO is out of the question until the new terminal opens. |
