				| no. if you're going somewhere (japan for example), then you can search for people who live in japan and send them messages requesting to sleep on their couch or meet for coffee and have them show you around, or something of that nature. 
 i suppose u could use it just as a social networking site, but really it's a great way to travel on the cheap and meet interesting people who are knowledgeable and passionate about the places where you are traveling.
