"Free" -- pronounced "pree", named himself after the Duty Free shops...couldn't decide between Duty or Free...I told him it was a good thing he didn't pick Duty, otherwise people might mistake it for "Doodie", as in fecal matter. but he didn't get it.

Haze -- pronounced it Hey-jew though, since koreans don't have the Z sound. named himself after a rock song, i forget which band.

there's a few more but i can't remember at the moment

Teapot
Boston
Justin Case

I actually thought the last one was a joke from the Korean staff. Like they put an extra name on my class list 'just in case' they had a new student sign up.

Was he aiming for "Hey Jude" from The Beatles?

Smile

At my old school, a co-worker had 3 of the 4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles names in one class. Can't remember which one was missing.

I have had a Quincy and a Ulysses.

A friend of mine had "Gun" and "Murder" in the same class.

Best one from a kindergarten hagwon:
T-Rex (pronounced "Tee Rex")

These are especially great because they're from adults, at an adult hagwon:
- Heaven (who I continually call "천국씨")
- Apple (who I call "사과씨")
- Bible (co-worker made her change it before her business trip to the US)
- Annis (pronouched "anus", subsequently changed after a co-worker told her what it meant)

To quote Dave Barry: I swear I'm not making these up.
