-you want to spend your life raising another organism to give purpose to your life. Thats original.
Way I see it is..its not really my dna. Its bits of dna from thousands of other people before me all mixed together. Although I think its pretty good DNA, the base instinct of reproducing copies of myself has never really been strong.
I won't be here when they live on so whats the point. Its a selfish exercise. |

| I've been spreading my seed around then fleeing the scene for awhile. Hopefully some of my DNA is floating around out there, somewhere. Possibly in a lady's belly. |

The pursuit of originality now interferes with biological processes? Lets see how far we can take this idea.
You want to eat now? How original
You want to smile now? How original
You wanna take a shower now? Oh REAL original socrates
You wanna have sex now? Its SO been done
You wanna have children now? WAY TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX MAN
I feel like living a totally unoriginal life just to spite people like you. To swear to myself to only do things if they've been done for thousands of years, JUST TO PISS YOU OFF. |

I think, even in marriages, it tends to be unplanned. The first week I found out I was pregnant, I was absolutely stunned and somewhat mortified. It took me a couple of weeks to accept my fate. Then I just got on with it. Now I adore the little bugger.
I read an article that said most women end up having kids before they feel ready, having what are known as 'happy accidents.' |

They only say that cause they don't want to admit to their husbands that it was a purposeful "oops..." |

I'm not sure about that. I know several cases where it was the husband who was overjoyed, while the wife had a bit of catching up to do. That certainly happened to me. And in my sister's case, it was her partner who caused the 'oops' and confessed a few years later that he'd connived to knock her up on purpose. The rat. |

Smiling doesn't harm the environment. |

if your interest is in propagating your DNA then donate to a sperm bank
make some cash and save the estimated half a million dollars it takes to raise a child |
