Is jay walking a serious crime here? I've been here (Incheon) for about 4 days and I've only twice seen people crossing the road at a non-designated crossing spot and only once crossing against the lights.
This included early Sunday morning when there were about two cars on the entire street. Not wanting to stand out any more than I already do I too stand and patiently wait for the green light, but it takes a bit of getting used to. |

it is a serious social crime.
a crime agaisnt the known rules and regulations of society.
will you get a ticket?
hell no.
will you be cut off from your friends and forced to live life in the shadows.
sucking blood from rats in the sewer
licking yourself clean after your various pursuits.
yes.
you will be a monster.
a beast.
a beast lacking the self control to wait for five minutes for the little green man to show himself.
even if the road is completely deserted.
especcially if the road is completely deserted.
so cross if you must, my friend.
but beware.
youre korean brethren will have no place for you in their hearts.
and i dont blame them.
people like you,
who dont follow the basic rules of society
such as not murdering eachother
such as not coveting your neighbors wife how ever good looking she is
however tasty her kimchi may be
such as jay walking
should be banished from society and forced to live on a small island full of monkeys
and panda bears.
these are my feelings. |
