Tell me about this holiday. My school has exams from April 30th to May 2nd, during which I will sit on my butt and has Tuesday May 6th as a school holiday and back to work teaching the 7th onwards.

I'm at a middle school in Seoul by the way.

We have to work the 6th and 7th (why, I have no idea) but are otherwise off from the 5th~12th. So we get one 3-day weekend, two days on, then a 5-day weekend. I'm at a high school in 평택.

The 5th and 12th are RED days and no one will be sitting at their desks on these days. Any extra days off your school takes (or gives you the freedom to be away) is at your principal's discretion. That week between the Mondays is not a holiday per se.

I should finish at 13.00 pm on Friday the 2nd and I wont be back at my desk until Tuesday 13th.

The amount of paid time off so far this year is insane.

I have no classes from the 24th to the 2nd because of midterms. Then I'm on holiday from the 3rd until the 13th. I love my PS job

Why do you have a whole week for midterms.

I have two days. (One of which I'm at the other school anyway.)

Why am I not this lucky.

Sad

The teachers want to spend time reviewing with the students and to give them time during class to study. I usually get a week off for midterms and finals, but I'm going to use that time to plan for the rest of the semester and work on the school newspaper.
