Is it possible to bike all the way east across Korea along the Han?

Google Earth shows that the river runs 2/3 of the way, then gets thwarted by a mountain range. Anyone know how much of that has trails along the side? And when you get to those mountains, are they passable via roads?

Seems that another river cuts inward from the East Sea and meets up on the other side of that mountain range. If there's a way through that range, there might be a clear path to Haosan.

If you are talking about the Han River bike trail, it ends when it gets out by Walker Hill to the east, which is a far cry from Kangneung!

You have to take roads most of the way, which is alright. It's a really nice ride to the other side. It's about 140 miles. There are some major climbs on the way(Daekisan and Daegwallyung) and some minor ones, too, but you can minimize them by altering the route.

sounds like a good ride. a couple years back, i rode out from daejeon to mokpo, ferried to Jeju, and rode the highway that circles the island. it was a fun trip even though i did it alone.

anyways, if u might want someone to do the bike ride with, i might be interested.
