For anyone who has already worked at a public school in Seoul, which position is best?
Elementary Teacher or Middle school Teacher in the classroom or Situational positions for teaching English. For example, simulating and teaching scenarios at a bank, grocery store, airport etc...
If you are familiar with these positions please let me know your opinion. |

By "situational positions" I assume you mean English villages or the like. To which I say, No. Just NO.
I teach elementary in Seoul and I like it. I know some who teach Middle School and they like it. I depends what you want. My students' level is very low and they are very....energetic. But I do like thier enthusiasm and you don't get as much of the attitude problems. I taught middle schoolers at hagowns and they tended to be lazy, rude, unmotivated and generally boring. But that was just my opinion. Some of my friends say they like the fact that they sit still and listen at least some of the time.
Hope this helps. |

The OP is comparing the two different positions being offered by the Gangnam public school district. There was another post about this job a couple of weeks ago so I recommend looking back a few pages.
Personally I would rather teach in a school where I don't have to teach the same material every week to a different group of students. |
