|
|
I'm sick of not kicking the ball around, so I'm going to try to organize a regular pick-up game. Anyone who enjoys playing can join, there is no huge commitment like a team, and it will be a good way to keep fit and have fun. Once 15 or so people show interest, I'll try to reserve the field and schedule the first meeting. So please reply or send me a PM if you're interested.
Location: Han river park, Ichon subway station, line 4 (this seems like the easiest central location for people to get to). If you get out at subway exit 4, just walk straight and the park is 500m ahead. There are two fields there. One is just to the right of the entrance. The other one is about a ten minute walk to the right from the park entrance. The fields are just packed dirt, but they have goals with nets. Even if just 6 or 8 people show we can just set up some bags as goals and have fun. Let me know if you have a better location.
Time: Undecided. Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday 9pm-11pm or later (no major drinking nights are sacrificed and it doesn't cut into the weekend). People can show up at the start or join the game anytime. I realize some people finish work later than others. Let me know if you have suggestions on the best day/time. Would a morning time work better? Say, 9am-11am? Maybe we can make it twice a week if there are enough people willing to play.
Cost: Free for now... it costs 6,000 won to reserve a field for two hours. I'll ask you to chip in later if it becomes a regular thing.
Okay I hope to get this going soon. If you have any doubts about the benefits of playing soccer, read this recent article: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jd3EF9yRLQBJttzJmqX1AI_3iEXQ |

I am interested in a game in the evenings after work. 9-11 would be perfect for me. |

I'm going to give this one last chance. I've only had 4 people show interest as of yet, and I suspect 3 of them may be my alternate accounts. |
