i've settled into a nice 6-pack of sweet korean swill, and among other dumb things my brain seems to be making me think, i wonder what plastic surgery feels like.
what's it like to have a piece of fake nose installed into your real nose?
what's it like to have fake boobies where your real boobies should be?
how does it feel to have *two* eyelids all of a sudden?
...a phony chin, cheeks, eye-brow ridge?
any analogy will do. cheers! |

| A few years ago, MTV did a good documentary (something good from MTV these days???) on a girl who had a breast enlargement and a girl who had a breast reduction. They showed uncensored footage of the operation. The reduction one was harder to watch. |

After years and years of hating my roman nose I had rhinoplasty. They shaved the dorsal hump down and broke the bones inward to form a straight, sort of pyramid shape.
Im glad I did it, because for most of my life I have avoided profile photographs like the plague and it really did make me feel bad about myself. However, it hurt like hell and I still cant wear glasses for more than a day in a row. It takes about 6 months to heal and its been two months.
I wouldn't call it a "fake nose-" it's my nose minus a bump. |

cool. ain't nothin' wrong with feelin' good about yourself. but i wasn't calling it a fake nose, rather a "piece of fake nose"-- something added rather than taken away.
but you answered my question regardless: how does it feel? thanks. |
