Do any of the pubs in Itaewon show F1 races, or are they only about footie, basketball, and wrestling?

There isn't a Korean broadcaster as far as I know. You used to be able to watch it on Star Sports, but they've gotten rid of it. I have to watch the live timing on Formula1.com and then download the race from torrents.

Nope. Star Sports are still showing F1. Just watched the qualifying hightlights and the race is on live later this evening, at 6.30 I think.

I don't know of any pubs that show it though. Your best bet is to find a place that's not too busy and just ask them to turn it on. If you have a group with you it shouldn't be a big deal.

What surprises me is, that F1 not popular at all in Korea (pretty anonomous really, like cricket or bowls) yet Korea has petitioned for, and won the rights to hold a F1 grand prix from 2010 (or is it 2009?).

Not to mention they will be building the racetrack from scratch at a pretty high cost and it will be somewhere in Jeollanam-do...which makes even less sense really...Unless that is where the F1 fanatics are and we are missing all the action up in Seoul/Gyeonggi.

That was Max Mosley (head of FIA), not Bernie. (Although they're both pretty slimy, IMHO.)

The video is on YouTube.

Ye, Max got caught with his pants down. Doesn't help matters that his father was the leader of the British Fascist Party.

Years ago, I used to go to Nashville Sports Bar just to watch Formula 1. Not sure these days, but "Star Sports" channel used to broadcast F1.

PS. Kimi "Ice Man" Rikknen and Heikki Kovalainen FTW!

EDIT: After reading all posts, someone had mentioned Star Sports already. My bad.

It's not on the Star Sports I have. I checked. I checked every one of my 20 sports channels. They all had crap on like 5 year old Asian 9-ball tour instead of the race.

TVU player has the 'right' star sports. That's where I get my F1 fix.

Do you get your Star through a cable company? I get mine from Skylife and they always show the F1. You'd better change!

Yes, long time it has been...so long in fact that my Wanderers are looking to be relegated instead of fighting for Europe.

I get Star Sports through Jeju cable, but my father in law has SkyLife. I guess I'll just have to go out there to see the races live!

I'm not in Seoul but I have watched F1 on the Wheels channel on TVU via my computer and last weekend I caught the last few laps of the Bahrain race on Star Sports. I get Star Sports through Skylife (sat dish). A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to watch the second race but the free TVU player I usually used, had taken the Wheels channel off. Wheels mysteriously reappeared a few days later. One of the Korean cable sports channels does show F1 but it's delayed either a day or so. My wife has told me that she saw it while folding the laundry one Monday while I was at work. Good luck.
