Hi there, I dont know if you know but I have to leave urgently. I am leaving tomorrow and dont have time or money take my cat with me. On top of this, I don't have a carrying case, his papers, or anything required. Do you know how much it would cost to have someone send him when I get back and get settled down? |

Just put a stamp on her, spray paint the address on her torso and push her into a mailbox. Should work. |

I strongly suspect that an unaccompanied pet will likely be put through the ordeal of quarantine but I don't know for sure. When I used to import birds to Canada (parrots) they were always sent through quarantine.
The best I could suggest is that, when you get home, you contact CBSA for specific information to import your pet (which is very different than traveling with your pet).
Does my pet need a permit?
Many live animals require permits. Often animals require a health inspection in the country of origin. A domestic dog or cat traveling with the owner need only meet the rabies certification requirements.
http://www.pettravel.com/ (I hope I got the correct website) may also provide some information - I don't know for sure.
CBSA ( http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/menu-eng.html ) is the final authority on this matter.
