If you're lucky then it's in the apartment. It depends if they bought one for the previous native teacher.
I had an iron already there but no board. I picked one up at the supermarket for 12 000 won. I can't imagine that irons are that expensive. Check with your employer and say that it'd be very handy to keep your crisp appearance for the school if there was an iron. Maybe they have a spare one. |

Not usually standard.
Always seconds on sale in the buy-sell forum, and they are not very expensive.
Your local SeTakSo, 세탁소, will probably wash and iron for 1,500 -3,000 원.
edit-hangul typo^^ |

I didnt get one, so I asked if tehy could tell me where to go. Next thing, they arrived with both for me. That said they are a fck about as the ironing board is small and it sucks having to crouch down when ironing.
Only just arrived in Korea, can someone with more experience enlighten me further about using a laundrette? How much? Reliable? |

Iron, but no board in mine. They're easy and cheap enough to pick up though. |

My apartment had both when I came here, but it was the mini ironing table board like the other posters mentioned.
It's a bit difficult to use because you have to crouch real low or sit on the floor while ironing your shirts. Plus to iron one article of clothing you have to adjust it on the tiny board multiple times.
Finding an iron or board isn't hard, most of the markets have them, or even street vendors if you've got any selling stuff in your area. However, given the amount of time to iron a single article of clothing due to the miniscule size of a standard board, I usually just let my clothes hang dry for an extended period of time and it takes care of most of the wrinkles. I only iron when it's for a special work even or something. |
