I originally came here without a tourist Visa with only the ability to stay for 30 days...however, after obtaining an E-2 and putting in six months at a shady hagwon, I've given my director notice that I want to leave...here's the thing...they said that I'll be able to stay in Korea for another 90 days before my time here is up and I have to pull a run. I was under the impression that it's 30...Who's right? Or are we both wrong?
Thanks... |

Who is "they"? Your hagwon? Immigration?
If your school cancels your E2 visa, you have 14 days (I think) to leave Korea. You and your boss should go down to immigration together and cancel it. You should hand in your Alien card on your departure from Korea. If they don't cancel your visa then I imagine you can stay until it expires... six months later Hmmm. |
