Look, I know that this isn't an STD support site, but I posted a poll to get help for my recent diagnosis of herpes from somebody who isn't 12 000 kms away. I am dealing with a health problem IN korea and I need information about products and services from other people who are managing the same thing IN korea.

thus: this is a topic related to *living* in korea.

What is the difference between my problem and some other smuck who wants to know about endoscopy?? He's got a health problem that needs to be addressed in Korea.

It took a lot of guts for me to post that thread. There is absolutely nothing online to help people in this country who are dealing with this. I had a friend who got an STD diagnosis in Seoul; she lapsed into a major depression and no freakin wonder. Even if she'd used the only major social utility for foreigners in this place, she'd have been cut off.

God help you if you should ever find that you need support or help for something scary and life altering in a strange place.

Yeah strange and sad it got deleted. Who knows. Good luck to you in the Wild West of STDs. Actually, by removing the thread the mods were probably asking you to ignore your problem. And probably bareback as many ladies as you want because STDs arent' a problem here. I'm sure that's why they deleted it. They're subtle like that.

Before I typed and bumped this up, your previous thread was 10 threads below this one.

Just scroll down a bit.

thanks for the replies.

its funny, the thing itself isn't that bad. its actually much more comfortable that most other infections that girls tend to get.

to answer spliff: i'm dealing with a bit of discomfort (as if i used the wrong type of soap) and I had one single white bump that tingled. the bump just goes away, it doesn't erupt or anything like you're suggesting. i'm told that the ghoulish pics on herp websites are really the worst case scenario. Its kind of annoying, how will anyone know that they've got this thing if they are expecting to find something out of a stephen king novel growing in their pants??

whats hardest is the stigma, it seems to attract as much stigma as child abuse. isn't that crazy? We're talking about a non-life threatening skin condition, but if anyone i knew were aware of it, I would never live it down.

whats crazier is that i used to worry myself into such a fit over the idea of catching it and I tried so hard to be careful... oh well. what can you do?
