Elvis?... Jesus? ... Larry? ... Don? ...
The answer is "none of the above" for me and millions of people who are celebrating his "birthday" today - mostly Hindus...
It's Lord Rama (based on what arguably is the world's oldest book, the Ramayana) and ancient oral traditions even in areas outside of India.)
There's a good condensed modern version of the epic (with nice pictures) at this link - http://www.krishna.com/en/node/722
The Wikipedia article on "Rama" also gives some interesting background information ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rama |

Where's Charlton Heston in that picture? He should be shouting
"Hands off you dirty ape"
I also like the scene where he discovers the statue of liberty hanf barried
in the sand. One of the greatest moments in Science Fiction.
Nova was pretty hot too |

I lol'd. Much better than what I would have said. Probably something like "Troll. The answer is obviously Sejeong." |

Ancient stories and artwork suggest that intelligent apelike beings coexisted with modern-type humans perhaps millions of years ago.
Hanuman is considered the greatest devotee of Lord Rama, and he helped enlist the aid of a monkey army (led by Sugriva) in the fight against the formidable demon, Ravana.
OK - the affection displayed here is purely transcendental (though I suspect the artist might be kinda gay... )
Anyway, here's the monkey army working on constructing the bridge connecting India with Sri Lanka - which according to the Ramayana was built by them over a million years ago.
And here's an aerial view of what many devotees of Rama claim to be that same bridge - but which some very materially motivated parties claim to be a natural formation (that happens to extend all the way to Sri Lanka):
Here's the Wikipedia article on continuing controversy over the bridge:

In Vancouver there is only one
"King" Richard Brodeur, NHL goaltender (1980-88 )
backstopped the Canucks to their first ever Stanley Cup Finals appearance |
