I have a laptop I use in the UK bought in Singapore. It says on power brick 100-240V 1.5A 50-60Hz. What will I need to make it work in Korea? Just the plug adaptor to change it from the UK 3-pin?
What about an Xbox 360? I would be terrified of frying that! |

I cant help with the 360 question but my UK Acer laptop power brick says exactly the same and I plugged it in using a socket adapter and pretty much left it on the whole time I was in Korea with no problems.
You might even be able to get a power cable with a Korea style plug on it to plug into your power brick in Yongsan. I intended to look for one but my socket adapter worked so well I never got round to it. |

Your laptop is happy. You may need a plug adapted (300-500 won at any stationary store).
Check the input on the power supply for your X-box. There should be a label on it or on the bottom of the box.
Coming from the UK it should be 240vac and 50Hz. It won't fry here (voltage is the same 240VAC) even though we use 60Hz and the UK uses 50Hz. |
