Hi,

I am wondering if I should sell my current system here before returning home for an indeterminate amount of time, or just ship it. I would obviously sell the monitor before leaving.

So, how much do you guys think I could realistically get for this rig?

Here are the specs:

Board: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5PL2-E Rev x.xx
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 0701 01/30/2007

1.80 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Local Drive Volumes

c: (NTFS on drive 0) 52.43 GB 23.98 GB free
e: (NTFS on drive 0) 107.61 GB 47.55 GB free

JO3512O DOQ941T SCSI CdRom Device [CD-ROM drive]
TSSTcorp CDW/DVD SH-M522C [CD-ROM drive]

Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC

2048 Megabytes Installed Memory

NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT [Display adapter]

ViewSonic VX2235wm [Monitor] (22.0"vis, s/n QA5065001791, December 2006)

SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio

Thanks in advance.

This is a great idea. I think more people on the buy/sell/trade forums should post here for appraisals before selling.

That low... even with a 22 inch monitor? If that's the case I guess I'll be shipping it.

What specs should I add?

A far as pics go, that'll have to wait. I just realized that I left my SD card in my laptop at work and I have no intention of heading over there in the rain to pick it up.

Thanks.

I have no idea how much it is worth, but takes spliffs price as the complete low end price. Haven't you heard he can buy anything at half the price anybody else can Laughing

I honestly think he might be from the future and forgets that the price of things haven't fallen yet Laughing

Well, w/ the info provided that is I'd be willing to offer. Don't have very clear specs.

OP...here's an example of what your spec format should look like....

Quote:
CPU: E6750 (2.6ghz but will go to 3ghz easily)
Cooler: Zalman 9700 HSF
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R (DDR2/3, 1333FSB, Penryn ready)
RAM: 2X1GB OCZ Vista Upgrade matched pair
PSU: Zalman 600watt
HDD: Western Digital 500GB 16MB buffer (very, very quiet)
ODD: LG DVD-writer (18X)
Gigabyte case complete with 2 fans.

You might be able to get more if you find the right buyer.

If you are gonna ship it, you should consider pulling it apart and leaving the PSU plus case here. The motherboards and chips etc will fit into your gear no problem and cases aren't a lot of cash. It might save time and money.

I don't think he meant to include the monitor in that. The monitor alone should be close to 200k new.

With the mon I'd say 500,000 - 550,000. With that said, I would be interested to know what the model # on the cpu is. E?

With the CPU specs as given AND the age of the MOBO (just over 15 months from the BIOS date) I would hazard a guess that it is an E4300 CPU.

.

Yes that's right E4300 CPU. I'm still debating about wrapping it and shipping it home or putting in on the buy/sell/trade forum.

If i do ship it. How much do you all reckon I can get for a Viewsonic 22 incher?

How old? Any dead pixels? I'd say half of new cost if in good condition...maybe 150,000.
