I've been fortunate enough to find a good school and a wonderful owner. I came here on April 4th and started teaching on the 7th so a newbie. The owner told me she needed to have my CBC, and diploma translated into Korean to send to the appropriate government entity. Does anyone know where/how this can be done? I'm trying to help her out. Thanks!!! Wink

I think you need to sit her down and tell her that you need this information. Tell her to call the Immigration Office and ask for that kind of information and what kind of certification the translated documents need.

In my opinion, you are making a mistake in 'trying to help her out'. I know it isn't her problem, but it really shouldn't be your problem to find out either. Immigration should have this kind of information available to you.

Thanks for the info but I was just trying to help out my owner who is rather new at having an F-4 teacher with all the new processes with the recent law changes. Wink

If you have your F4 then you are done with Immigration. She doesn't need to take anything to Immigration.

She just needs to get you registered with the Ministry of Education.

Only E2 visa holders were subject to the changes that required a CBC and MHR in order to get the visa and ARC.

Cheers

F4's don't need a CBC; just your diploma(untranslated), ARC card, and passport with your visa stamp on it will suffice.

Thanks guys! I'll tell this to my boss on Monday to see what she says. Who ever she talked to in immigration, faxed her a copy of someone's diploma that's been translated in Korean to do the same with mine. She's also under the impression that CBC also has to be translated. I'll ask her to double check. Thanks for all the help! Anyone know where I can get the diploma translated? Smile

< F4 Visa

I never had to get my diploma translated or any of that business. I just needed to show the documents that I used to get the F4 visa in the first place, to immigration. Then my school showed my diploma (not translated), passport copy, arc copy to the Ministry of Education and I was all set. I just had this all done a few short weeks ago.

Thanks guys! Who ever she talked to obviously don't know what they're talking about. She photo copied my diploma in color and gave me back the original documents including the CBC and all. Very Happy
