Any idea how much it costs to replace one of these? I'll email my college, I just need a ballpark figure soon. I told my school they'll be paying for it.

I paid $80 about 6 years ago. Maybe a little more for international shipping, too.

Under $100 total (which is about 100,000 won)

My school is $35 plus shipping. Though they need to verify a lot of things before they replace it; you can't simply order a new one.

It depends on your school. My uni charges $25.

Why not call your school and ask?

Or just charge your school 100 quid/Euro/125 USD Smile

Thanks for the info. I just emailed my college about it. Can't call, as it's night there. I'm going home in a month and am more angry about the hassle it will be to replace it more than the money. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a crazy amount. I'll get the real price and tell my school next week.

Depends on your school. I went to a private university (which means I'm in debt to them for my arm, leg, and first born child.) But since I paid them so much money for the first degree, they issue me a new one and even pay the international shipping whenever I want.

My first hagwon tried to fax my degree to the immigration office and when it went through the fax machine it got all wrinkled and ink stained. Much credit to my school owner though. He apologized deeply and offered to pay any costs in getting a new one. But it was no problem, I just rang my school the next day and they put it in the mail.

OP: You told them they are paying. Did they agree to that?

If you had ordered 4 you might have gotten the 5th one free.....or atleast a coupon for a free Big Mac.

Always give apostilled diplomas, they will get lost/not returned.

Next time you are in town, go to your university, get 10 apostilled diplomas, shove them behind your real diploma and use those until you run out. And I do mean 10, I regret only getting 6 of undegrad/masters as I've almost run out.

It cost me 100 (about $165) to get my degree apostilled. Apparently it had to be signed by a solicitor and sent to the foreign office. It is now in Korea somewhere, probably with immigration. I do not have any other copies. Will it cost me another 100?!

A copy of my diploma cost about $20. The notary was free. The county clerk authentication was $3. The apostille was $10.

Never, ever give anyone your original diploma.
