So the team of monkeys at the cable company have drpped CNN & AFN. This really sucks!

Does anybody have info about Internet TV in Seoul? My buddy in Daegu has this great package with Internet TV with loads of movies. Anybody have the info?

Cheers!

AFN is off by order of the government. It's not supposed to be carried on Korean cable. The networks visited Korea last year, saw their shows getting shot out into the Korean cable system for free and dumped bricks, threatening to deny the military the free content.

CNN might have been bumped up to a premium cable package. I think the government last year denied cable operators the right to raise rates. In response, they moved a bunch of channels to a more expensive service level hoping people would upgrade...

I found it disturbing my station dumped Arirang but kept the Chinese language and Japanese language channel. Never really noticed many Chinese or Japanese walking around Nowon but I did see many whiteys.

My provider has never carried Arirang and I'm in central Seoul. I have no more CNN or AFN, but TV sucks in the first place, especially in Korea when they show Die Hard over and over and over and over.

Harpeau, you're a lifer, right? If you're planning on staying in Korea for the next 3 years then just get a Skylife contract. No AFN, but all the other big English channels are there. Plus BBC News.

You will own the box and dish after 3 years. Around 35,000 per month.
