Korea Ultimate Player Association SPRING LEAGUE 2008

May 4 June 15

You are invited to partake in what promises to be the best league in town. We are offering up seven weeks of scheduled play, which includes an introductory clinic and an exciting day of playoff action. It should go without saying that off field shenanigans including food and beer will follow everyday after we finish playing. New players are encouraged to come out so SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Things will kick off with a free clinic on Sunday May 4th at 1:00 at Yeoinaru station (line 5, exit 2). If you are new to the game this is a great time to learn the rules and test out some new throws. Experienced players are encouraged to come out too and shake off the rust from the long cold winter. The clinic will be followed by scrimmages and pick up.

The league games will start the following weekend on Sunday May11th and run every Sunday until June 15th when we will have playoffs and a final. Subject to the number of teams we have, we will likely have two time slots:

2:00-3:20 (Game 1)
3:30-4:50 (Game 2)
4:50-whenever (pick-up: anyone and everyone can play)

You will know at the start of the season what team you are on, and what time your game starts each week. After the scheduled games there will be pick-up, and anyone can play. We will likely be playing at the fields next to Yeoinaru station (line 5, exit 2) every week. However, you should check our website regularly to see what the latest information is (www.koreaultimate.net).

Following the league on June 15th we will be having an end of league party. This will include dinner, drinks, and an awards ceremony. Previous league ending parties live on as some of the rowdiest and best nights Seoul has ever seen.

There will be a fee of 20,000₩ associated with the running of the league. This will get you a fun filled 6 weeks of play, a jersey, food, drinks, and sweet prizes at the league finale. Please bring this with you on the first day of league.

To register - send an email along with your name, phone number, and level of ultimate experience to: [email protected]

So to recap:
-Sunday May 4th: 1:00 Free clinic
-Every Sunday after until June 15th there will be league play starting at 2:00, and 3:30
-June 15th: Playoffs and the END OF LEAGUE PARTY

I have heard talk that there is weekly pick-up at the Paju English Village (are you close to that at all??). But I am not sure of the specifics. I will look into it though...

Even if you cant make it to league consistently, you can drop in no problem. We also have pick-up every Sunday that is always open to everyone.

Can you send me a PM that I can reply to?
