|
|
When I lived in Japan I had a Vodafone cell that had a J>E, E>J and J>J dictionary built-in.
I get the impression that LG is the easiest/cheapest of the big 3 companies for foreigners to get a phone from. Does anyone know if any of the LG phones have this option, and if so, any recommendations?
Thanks |

LG is a telecom company, it doesn't make phones. I have a motorola phone which does have an English to Korean, and Korean to English dictionary. Ask when you buy, it is that simple. |

I got this phone http://nallge.tistory.com/138 a few months ago and it has K-E E-K dictionaries. My provider is KTF but the others may offer it as well.
When you shop for a phone make sure that you verify yourself that it has a K-E dictionary, as very few phones have this and the salesperson may say the phone has it when it doesn't (as they did with me with other phones). Another thing to be on the lookout for is that the vowels are already put together on some phones, while others (e.g. mine) just have them in bits that you put together yourself; IMO the latter is better, as it's easier for me to spell the vowels out than to hunt for the completed ones. |

If you get a phone with LG Telecom there are a variety of phone brands you can choose from including LG. A bunch of phones have dictionaries, just ask when you go to get one. |

I have an LG Cyon Orange phone, it has a K-E and E-K dictionary plus a subway map/journey planner which is useful if you live in/near Seoul. |
