A friend of mine is trying to buy a motorcycle from a foreigner who just left the country and left his motorcycle with a friend.
Apparently, this guy didn't renew his insurance and license plate for the second year he was here and when he tried to turn in his plate and get the selling papers, they told him he'd have to pay a $300 fine. He said no way and just chucked his plate.
Now, my friend is trying to buy this bike. He can get the papers that the previous owner had, but it's in that guy's name.... and he's gone home.
anyone know how he can get the bike declared abandoned and get new ownership papers for the bike? |
